Privacy statement

This is a translation of our Dutch privacy statement. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version applies.
At Biltse Boer we think it is important that you know what happens to your data. This statement covers the website biltseboer.nl. We keep it short, because not much happens: we only collect what you fill in yourself in a form.
Cookies and trackers
We love cookies, but only in our ice cream. You won't get any on this website.
We also don't use visitor statistics, advertising networks or social media trackers. So we don't know who you are or which pages you look at, and you never have to click away a cookie banner here.
What we ask you
Through the contact form and the request form for the meeting room we ask for your name and email address. You may add a phone number, but you don't have to.
When you send a form, your IP address is used very briefly to stop automated programs from flooding the form with spam. That address is not stored and not linked to your message.
What we use it for
Only to answer your question or request. We don't use your data for advertising, we don't send a newsletter and we don't pass anything on to other parties for their own purposes.
The legal basis for this is that you contact us yourself: we need your data to be able to reply, and in the case of a request, to arrange a booking with you if needed.
How long we keep it
We keep messages from the forms for up to twelve months after we have dealt with them, so we can look back at them if you get in touch again later. After that we delete them.
If a request leads to a booking, the data becomes part of our administration. For the financial part of that, the statutory retention period of seven years applies.
Where your data is processed
To make the website and email work, we use a hosting provider, a service that sends the email and an email provider where the message arrives. They may only use your data to provide that service to us, and for nothing else.
All of this processing takes place within the European Union. Your data is not sent to countries outside it.
What you can ask
You can always ask us which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Just send a message to info@biltseboer.nl and we will take care of it.
If we can't resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
